I finished these pages a couple of months ago- but never got around to posting them. These pictures are from last January through April, which means that I am VERY behind with scrapbooking! Yikes! How great is this monster paper?!
This might be one of my favorite pieces I have done! I LOVE how it turned out- especially the vintage brown bird wallpaper. The bookcase was just an average, but really nice cherry piece & with a little cream paint- it looks brand new. Sometimes I get a little excited about painting & I forget to take a before picture...oh well.
This is one I found online & it kind of looks like what the bookcase looked like before...
And here is the after:
As for the hutch- my mom & I found it last Monday at ARC thrift store for $20. It was sort of a white with gold accents on it and I was in love the moment I saw it. I really wanted to keep this piece- it is just so unique! (oh & there is no before with this guy either) I love the detail! Here it is all decked out with our fun stuff!
This little hutch was seriously ugly before it found it's true potential with some fun paint! Luckily the previous owners of my house left me some dark dark tealish blue paint that I was able to mix with some of my lighter blues and a little bit of green to make this awesome color! I love how it turned out & sort of wish I had a spot for it in my house! Before: I love the little green Hobby Lobby knobs!
So my $1 garage sale desk sold at the store last week...(tear). We had to find something to replace the other 2 items that sold, so I decided to part with my little blue desk. Unfortunately/fortunately it sold in 4 hours. So, I have been quite busy painting this awesome bookcase, hutch top & hutch. I can't wait to show pictures! Yay!
In November Bryan & I celebrated six years of marriage- and since the unemployment, we don't have much money to spend on one another....BUT I did still have a LOT of scrapbooking supplies. So, I put the supplies to use & I made him a little book about us.
Most of the supplies are American Crafts- but really, it's just a hodgepodge of what I had. And, I used my Zutter again! Yay!
Unfortunately I don't have a before of this piece- it is one of my favorites & hard for me to let go of. It was just an ordinary brown dresser, but then I painted it my favorite turquoise blue & put some new crystal hardware on it...and proceeded to fall in love. Today it sold, which makes me both happy & sad. I was secretly hoping it wouldn't sell so I could just keep it for myself.
My mom picked this one up at a garage sale last year- it's an Ethan Allen Sideboard and it was $20...so I put a couple coats of this great gray we had leftover from the previous owners of our house, distressed it, put some black glaze on and polycrylic and put it in the shop! Before: After: In certain light it has a little blue tint to it- I love it & I think it would be so great as an entry way table.
