Paris Street Market

Last Saturday, while I was in Denver, my mom & I headed out for my first ever visit to the Paris Street Market and it was awesome! Paris Street Market is basically an open-air, antique vendors, awesome painted furniture outdoor shop that lines the parking lot with tons of different vendors & lots of amazing finds. Surprisingly, there were a lot of great deals to be had & a lot of vendors that were willing to bargain.  I wish I would have taken more pictures- but I was too excited & just wanted to shop!

I bought this beauty of a green mirror for $5 and it's been painted & placed in Cooper's room...I'll show pictures of that soon!

My first "commissioned" room

Last week my friend Kim decided she wanted to surprise her soon to be12-year-old son with a newly decorated room for his birthday. She asked me to help out & I was so excited! So last week I began planning & Kim began her scheming...trying to take out the dressers in his room without him knowing what was going on, etc. The day of his Birthday (yesterday) a bunch of us girls went over to Kim's and painted his room & put it all together. He was so surprised!

The paint color is this bright and beautiful blue from Sherwin Williams called Tame Teal. We got the orange comforter from Target. The lamps, books, lampshades, both clocks, frames and chair were all thrifted. (Special thanks to Cassie for finding those lampshades...so awesome!) The curtain fabric was from Hobby Lobby. He already had the dressers which were painted in a "global blue". The picture above his wall was a blown up print from Staples- for around $6! I love how it turned out- and even more important so did Kim's son!

The Loft: Before & After

This weekend my husband and I worked on finishing the loft...de-tanifying it! We decided to make a feature wall of white planks.  All we did was nail up 10ft. by 6" by 1" mdf boards that I got at Lowes. We spaced them about 1.2" apart and caulked in between the mdf and wall. It only took us a few hours and it makes quite a statement. Then I painted the rest room a pretty blue. I love how it turned out.

White Cabinet

I've had this white cabinet done & painted since January or February, but I have been a bad blogger. It was found by my mom (I can't even tell you how much I love it when she finds me AMAZING things!! It's great to have my own personal shopper.) She had it in her shop until I told her I wanted it. It was a super bright and ugly yellow with gray trim, so I painted it my "go to" color (KWAL paint- Apple Peel). It now sits in my living room and holds some beloved treasures- the first picture ever taken of Bryan & me, Ellery's teeny tiny hand and foot prints, and my favorite quote- "Be of Good Cheer". Hope you enjoy!

I'm Baaaack!

After a very long and depressing break...I am finally painting again! Hooray!!

I just finished this awesome hutch- which was for me! Yay! My little brother went to Goodwill and I asked him to find me a hutch- and he did! And for only $40! Hooray! I painted it white & spray painted the original hardware my favorite tealish blue and this is the result:
